UCSF Primary Care Options & Specialty Care Services

Switching to a UCSF Primary Care provider is convenient and easy for UCSF employees and their dependents. (If you are enrolled in Health Net Blue & Gold, one of the employee Anthem plans, resident/fellow Anthem plans or postdoctoral scholar Health Net plans, you can receive your medical care at UCSF Health or through the UCSF Health affiliate network.)

  • Email a request for new patient primary care appointments using your UCSF email account to [email protected] (**This email is for schedule requests only**)
  • Provide your first and last name (or the first and last name of the person requesting the appointment)
  • Provide a phone number and good times to reach you (or your dependent) during normal business hours
  • Provide your insurance information

You will receive a response from one of the new patient navigators within 2-5 business days. If you do not have email, or prefer to call, you may call 1-844-PCP-UCSF.

Canopy Health

Canopy Health, an alliance of nearly 5,000 providers, continues as an option for UC employees who enroll in UC Blue & Gold and select a PCP in Hill Physicians Medical Group-SF, John Muir Medical Group, or Meritage Medical Network.  

The Canopy Health network simplifies referrals and gives Canopy Health members easy access to all specialists within the Canopy Health network.
